LIFE MEMBER GARY IBBERSON REMEMBERED

It is with great sadness that the Millersburg Fire Company No. 1 announces the passing of Lifetime Member Gary Ibberson on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Gary was a member of our company for 47 years. For many years, Gary was a member of the Executive Board and held the position of Relief Treasurer. For someone like Gary, nothing seemed to be enough to Thank him for his many years of service and dedication to our company.
Gary was always the type of person who would be willing to help with whatever needed done to help the fire company. He devoted his time to help with carnivals, banquets, and weekly bingo. But Gary’s dedication was not limited to the firehouse. Gary was the type of person who cared about the community he lived in. He served as a member of Millersburg Borough Council for years. Gary’s commitment to the community made him truly special, but his kindness made him a wonderful friend to many. While Gary has not been around the firehouse over the past few years due to health issues, many of us still speak of him often and tell stories of him. We only hope Gary realized how much he meant to so many people and how much he was cared for.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, April 29th at Grace United Methodist Church, Millersburg. Visitation will be help from 6-7pm and the service will be held at 7pm.
