At 1805 on Sunday November 15 units were dispatched for a vehicle accident with reported entrapment shortly after a line of severe weather went thru the area. Chief 20 (Snyder) responded and was advised there was one vehicle rolled over with an occupant still inside and another vehicle on the railroad tracks. Engine 201, Truck 20, Attack 20, Special Unit 2 and Rescue 21 responded. Chief 20 arrived to find the roadway blocked with a boulder that had fallen onto the roadway and a tree that fell causing the accident which involved three vehicles. All occupants were verified to be out of the vehicles and Rescue 21 was placed in service. Crews closed Route 147, made notification to Norfolk Southern to stop rail traffic and requested PennDOT to the scene to remove the boulder. Crews operated on the scene for approximately 2 hours until the roadway was reopened.
