Members spent last week removing equipment and hose from Engine 20 in preparation for a refurb. Engine 20 was dropped off at Fire Line Equipment in New Holland, Pa this morning for a refurbishment. The fire company decided the route to go for the fire company and the community was refurb the 2001 E-One Engine and extend its life for another 10 years. Major items that will be accomplished include repairing discharge valves; replacing insulator strips between the frame and water tank; replacing roll up doors; installation of new tank level indicators; changing all lighting (DOT, Emergency, and Scene Lighting) to LED; repairing corrosion; repainting and lettering; replacement of the SCBA seat mounting brackets; and seatbelts. The refurb is scheduled to last approximately 6 months. Engine 201 will be run as the primary Engine during this period.
