This afternoon at 1630 Engine 20 was originally dispatched to Halifax for an accident with entrapment shortly after a major storm hit Halifax. As Engine 20 arrived in Halifax it was discovered that the accident was in a different location. Command 29 advised the engine crew to assist with storm damage. The engine was assigned to check the area of Powells Valley Road and Fellowship Drive and report on damage and any injuries or people in need of assistance. Upon completion of the assignment the engine crew set up staging areas to keep people out of harms way and report on the numbers. Following the completion of this assignment Engine 20 was sent to extinguish a fire on Route 147 just south of Giant from a fallen electrical line and the accompanying pole.
